Ten on Tuesday (80)

These questions were provided by Molly at Considering Campbells. I thought they sounded fun but now I’m realizing that you’re all about to see how lame my house is. Hurst Castle is just a home built in 1965 and never EVER updated.
Also, I took all the pictures on my iPhone because apparently that’s why iPhone users do. Trust me, a nicer camera wouldn’t make these pictures any better!
This is a photo edition of ToT. Post a photo of each of the following:
1. Your favorite piece of furniture in your home.
This is the recliner we bought while I was pregnant when we were actually shopping for a dining room table. But it’s amazing. I slept in it the last 2+ months of my pregnancy.
2. Your favorite thing on your wall.
This is a painting my old boss had done for Stephen and I for a wedding gift.
I also love these paintings that my sister did for Jansen’s room. And this silk screen she did of Jansen for a project. The silk screen isn’t technically on our walls yet, but it will be some day.
3. Your bed as it looks right now.
Don’t judge me! We don’t really believe in making beds. We just pull the sheets and comforter up. And I have grown to hate our comforter. We registered for it when we were tired of making decisions and the bed-in-a-bag seemed easy enough. I’d like a solid coverlet instead. Also, that’s an ice pack on my pillow. I slept on it last night because I had a headache.
4. Your pantry.
Closed and open. Whoever the idiot was that designed this house thought it would be a good idea to make skinny, deep pantries. I hate them. HATE.
(I wonder how many of you are going to enlarge this picture to see all the junk I have in there!)
5. Your favorite piece of jewelry.
My engagement and wedding rings, of course!
6. Your favorite book.
The B-I-B-L-E. This one is my favorite because it has my name on it, although it’s not the one I read most often.
7. Your most comfortable shirt.
This is actually a (very bad) picture of my two t-shirt drawers. I do have an actual favorite t-shirt but I was too lazy to take a picture of it. Sorry.
8. Your messiest room.
Again. This is a judge-free zone. This is my office/wrapping paper/craft/guest room. It needs some organization.
9. Your house shoes.
My mom bought these for my sister but they didn’t fit her. So YAY for me. They are Lands’ End and super comfy. (Yes, I’m wearing Christmas PJs in this picture. Yes it was taken yesterday.) Sorry about the yellow picture. My hallway has bad lighting.
10. Yourself.
This is me. In my jammies. In our awful guest bathroom. Feel free to come strip the wallpaper! I have not showered or brushed my hair. I’m keeping it real here! And I know my phone will take a picture from the other way but I feel like those look weird. (Also, the reason there are beer bottles behind me is because our guest bathroom is also Stephen’s homebrew storage area. There are no windows in this section of the bathroom so it’s ideal for beer-making.)

I love picture ToTs! Maybe one time I’ll participate… but that would require me to actually be a blogger and write a blog. gasp! Did you notice that the picture of your house shoes makes your left shoe look like 3x bigger than your right foot? made me giggle:) Thanks for sharing real pics of your life! :)

So the Christmas PJs? Yeah, I have them too (though I’m sure a lot of people do who love Old Navy.) And no judgment here at all for wearing Christmas PJs in May. I do too.
If I can get my stupid cold-head act togther, I’ll post this tonight. Was out of town this past weekend and just had zero energy to be on my a-game. Sorry :(

I love picture posts like this one, but I’m too lazy (and embarrassed about the state of my house!) to participate. Your chair looks SO comfy! When I was pregnant I spent the last few months trying to find a comfortable position on our 30+ year-old couch – I kept getting stuck. It was horrible.

I love the wedding gift portrait of you and Stephen! I couldn’t believe that wasn’t a REAL PICTURE?! Also, that arm chair looks superrrr comfy. I also lived with a tiny pantry my whole life too. It was only last month that we made a new BIG one. I feel your pantry-pain.
