I had a great weekend!! Remember how I have something on my calendar every single weekend for like 3 solid months? We we are still in that phase. It’s all fun stuff, it’s just overwhelming to be so busy. I swear I’m not really popular or anything, I’
m just busy. I’m looking forward to when it all slows down. I feel like I can’t catch up. I’m too busy doing one thing and then when that weekend is over, I realize I have something else coming in a few days that I’m not ready for. Stephen’s sister is getting married next weekend and I’m a bridesmaid. I JUST got my shoes on Friday. Jansen still needs a shirt and tie. I just realized this…
Anyways, this weekend was great. It was the bachelorette party for one of my best friends from college. I’m a loser so I flaked out on a couple of the festivities. I feel like I had to though. With us being in Florida for 8 days, Jansen has reverted back to his separation anxiety sleep. He wakes up screaming for me every night. On top of that, he is a snotty mess right now so he’s really not sleeping well. I knew if I went away all weekend again, it would get worse. So I ended the festivities at about 4:00 on Saturday and headed to see my munchkin.
I got to spend time with my family all day yesterday. That makes my heart happy. I love my family. My parents are wonderful, my siblings are great to be around, I love my sister-in-law, and now there are kids involved. Jansen loves cousin time more than almost anything. The only thing he loves more than time with Avery is time with Poots. (My dad… used to be called Gramps, now called Poots.)
My sister moved out of her apartment on Sunday. Don’t get me wrong, she’s been living with us since July but most of her stuff has still been at her apartment. Her lease is now up so she needed to move out. Stephen, my brother, and a good family friend went to help her. This meant that Jansen and Avery had an entire day with their Poots. They had the time of their life!!
My dad took them on rides in the little cart he pulls behind his bike, they blew bubbles, ate popsicles on the swing, went to the park, and drove their motorized Barbie Jeep. It was like summer camp, only with better food and people you like.
I’m so thankful that the two of them are so close in age. Avery was born in December and Jansen was September. I’d have to be a few months pregnant if I wanted to get that same age difference with our next child and my newest niece. I’m not. I’m not at all pregnant. But I certainly hope they still get along and have fun together.
I just wanted to write this post so I could share these cute pictures. (Avery is wearing a helmet because she had just been on a bike ride.) I’ll post about Universal Studios Islands of Adventure tomorrow.

Sounds like you’ve been one busy girl. Cute pictures. I hope Jansen’s sleep issues resolve soon.
