Jansen doesn’t know how to play with friends. He’s kind of a loner. He is a product of a no sibling, no day care upbringing. He plays with trains all day and doesn’t want anyone to help.
Nevertheless, we took him to San Antonio this weekend to int
roduce him to his best friend.
We were attending a wedding and got to stay with Molly and her family. When your best friends live out of the city, weekends like this are what keep you going! Though I’m not coming to you with lots of stories, I’m coming to you with cuteness.
On Saturday during the wedding, we left Jansen behind to play with Jack. At first I was concerned about leaving him since he doesn’t know them, but he seemed to warm up quite a bit throughout the weekend.
They had a fantastic time. They finger painted, played in the sprinkler, went on a wagon ride, and giggled.
By Sunday, they were buds. Except Jansen still wouldn’t play trains with him. And he spazzed when Jack got a little too close to his sippy cup of milk.
The weekend was great. We didn’t sleep at all though. The combination of Jansen’s molars coming in and an unfamiliar place led to nights with a toddler in our bed. While I love a good toddler cuddle, I also treasure a good night’s sleep. After pulling out of their neighborhood, this is what we saw.
And now, the cutest video you’ve ever seen.
