Things are busy busy busy around here. I showed you my fantastically organized pantry already. I have also completely cleaned out my pantry. I have about 20 more minutes of work to do, cleaning up a few details. I took about 17,000 items to Goodwill on Sunday. The guy even said, “Wow. We sure appreciate it!” Maybe I’ll show you pictures of my closet some time.
I have also been working on the nerd baby shower that I am throwing
THIS SATURDAY!
I am hosting it along with a friend of mine. She is in charge of games, dessert, and a couple other details. I am in charge of food,
favors, and decor. It’s going to be so cute and so fun! I’ll show you all the details next week.
The next step is planning Jansen’s big boy room. He’s really still doing perfectly fine in his crib, so there isn’t a huge hurry. But I’d like to put it together without the rush of “OH EM GEE, JANSEN KEEPS JUMPING OUT OF HIS CRIB!” We need to completely clean out the room and closet and then do a bit of space planning to see how we’d like to set it up. Jansen is really good about playing by himself and staying in bed to have some alone time, so we want to be sure his room is set up to accommodate that. He needs easy access to some of his favorite toys, and quick ways to clean them up. He needs a fun bed and an inviting atmosphere. Wish us luck.
But now I need to get off the internet and get a few more things done. Baby showers don’t plan themselves.
Hey! Don’t count 100% on him remaining good about playing in bed once he’s in a big boy bed. Amelia used to be great about that…until she was no longer in a crib. She’s gotten better now about coming into our room and playing with _my_ stuff to give me a few more minutes of sleep but that isn’t always the best solution either haha.
