Well this will be a fun week. Be sure to head over to Lauren’s blog to see her post and visit other participants.

Ha. I have now lost 5 pounds. Now don’t go giving me any high fives or anything, let me explain. I lost one pound during week one through three, that one is legit. Then I lost 5 pounds between Saturday at 10:30pm and Sunday at 10:00am. Yeah. You read that right. I threw up until there was literally NOTHING in my body. I have gained a pound of it back, so I am at a net loss of 5 pounds. I know I will gain the rest back now that I am back to eating 3 meals a day. IT IS NOT ABOUT THE WEIGHT, IT IS ABOUT BEING HEALTHY. Right??? It’s a little about the weight.
Exercise Completed
I walked and ran the equivalent of 2 miles between my bed and the toilet on Saturday night. I also did the equivalent of about 62,000 crunches while puking. If you think I’m joking, get a stomach virus. It is serious business. Also pre-virus, Stephen and I did Netflix yoga one night. It isn’t the workout kind but stretching is a form of exercise in my mind.
Success Story
I don’t really have one. I feel like the fact that I’m actually eating food is a success. After throwing up for 2 straight hours on Saturday night (plus other stuff…) and battling a fever and serious aches, I didn’t eat at all on Sunday. On Monday I had a small, plain waffle for breakfast so I had the energy to move and go to work, and then in the afternoon I had a handful of Goldfish and was THE MOST FULL PERSON ON THE FACE OF PLANET EARTH AND PROBABLY ANY OTHER PLANET TOO. So the fact that I ate a giant helmet of ice cream and drank two beers at the Astros game tonight is a huge success. I mean, wait. What?
Recipes
Last week I gave you a recipe for snack grapes. I was about to give you a recipe for peanut butter on a toasted English muffin but that one seems a little simple. So I’ll just post this screen shot of my favorite crockpot carnitas that we had on Tuesday. (I had to take this screen shot because the recipe I had originally found on Pinterest has been removed because someone marked it as spam. CARNITAS ARE NOT SPAM.) (Also, use whatever spices you have. I have never added coriander and it is still delicious. Serve them on corn tortillas with lime juice, chopped tomatoes, and feta. Yes feta.)
Photos
I opened this on Monday at 9:00 in the morning. I finished it at 4:45 in the afternoon. I was mighty proud.

It really doesn’t matter how you lose it, does it? I’d be jumping up and down fist pumping if my scales dropped five pounds for whatever reason!
Carnitas are DEFINITELY not spam. Carnitas are LITERALLY my motivation for “running” on the treadmill.
I have never had a carnita…I know, I know. THE SHAME! Hope you stay feeling on the up and up this week!
Catching up on posts from when I was on vacation…
I need to be on this diet.
