The Cardboard Diet: Week 5

Yeah. I’m still doing this.

Weigh In
Well it is Wednesday night and I realized I haven’t weighed myself this week. My sister told me not to do it because 1) it is nighttime 2) we just had dinner 3) I’m wearing jeans. But I did it anyways BECAUSE I’M CRAZY LIKE THAT!! I’m not displeased. I’m 5 pounds down from the first week. I’m not sure how much of that is residual stomach bug and may still come back. I completely emptied my system two weekends ago and my appetite is still not fully back. I’m not complaining though. I have been eating my three meals, but haven’t been hungry for a snack in two weeks. I wish that was real life.

Exercise Completed
(insert crickets)
Yeah. None. Remember when we talked about how much I hate exercise? I do! And unless I have a lot of extra time, I’m just not going to do it. And I was out of town this weekend with Stephen for our anniversary.

Splurge/Guilty Pleasure
I ate A LOT this weekend. We went out twice on Saturday and twice on Sunday. Things I ate this weekend: Migas, bacon, fried potatoes, (then a 2 hour nap), bread, snap peas, filet, gorgonzola mashed potatoes, challah bread french toast, bacon, Qdoba tacos.

Success Story
Well I have lost 5 pounds, I think that’s a success… especially considering I hardly work out. (Don’t hate me. Hate my genes.)

Recipes
I made a delicious salad for dinner tonight.

Spinach, thinly sliced green apples, thinly sliced green peppers, cubed (seeded) cucumbers, GOAT CHEESE, and grilled chicken. I used some store brand dressing that was caramelized onion and poppy seed. Yumm!
