The Cardboard Diet: Week 9

Weigh In
I didn’t lost any weight this week. Does that make you happy, Lauren? I didn’t gain either, so I’m okay with it. My total weight loss is 6 pounds since the beginning of CBDiet.

Exercise Completed
Remember yesterday when I told you that Jansen was a crazy kid in the morning on Tuesday? I had two instances of a flailing, spastic toddler that I had to control and keep from flying out of my arms and busting his head open. Both times made me sweat. That was my workout for the week.

In other words: No, I did not workout.

Splurge/Guilty Pleasure
I had a fantastic cupcake at the party on Saturday. I don’t regret it AT ALL. I had ChickFilA for lunch on Tuesday but that’s only because I left my lunch by the back door on the way out of the house. I don’t want to call that a splurge or guilty pleasure because it made me quite cranky!! Also, since we traveled over the weekend, I had some fast food on the way there.

Success Story
Well I was all prepared to tell you how I’ve lost so much weight that my jeans are now falling off of me. But that’s only one pair. I have a pair of Levis that I can literally pull off without unbuttoning. However, that must be mostly due to the stretch in them and the fact that I wasn’t wearing a belt, because it’s not true with all my jeans. In fact, I had to unbutton my jeans in the car yesterday afternoon because I was full of all sorts of bloatedness (it’s a word) and my tummy couldn’t be contained. TMI?

Success. I think the success is that I have been only eating a small part of my lunch during lunch, and then the rest for snack. Previously I’d eat my whole lunch and then an additional snack. I’ve been packing a piece of fruit and veggie sticks in my lunch each day. Yay me!

Recipes
I made the Wholefoods Chicken Salad on Sunday night for lunches. I’m not posting the recipe here. Just google it, it’s all over the place. My mom has the absolute best recipe for chicken salad (yes, better than your mom’s) but this is a nice change and it’s a tad bit better for you.

Photos
I’m not in this picture, but my snow cone is… and so is a tiny bit of one of my fingernails. We stopped at this INCREDIBLE snow cone place on the way out of Austin. It’s made with super fine ice so it tastes more like ice cream. They even put cream in them if you want! Anyways, I just thought I’d share this photo of my cute kid and hot husband. Can we all just take a second to be jealous of their eyelashes???

Jansen is just so handsome! I passed on Icecream Cake at my brother’s birthday party, but I literally had to walk outside while everyone was eating it.
