Thanks for not breaking into my house and stealing all my stuff this weekend. I accidentally told you we were going out of town. I usually don’t make that mistake.
We spent the weekend in Galveston with Molly and Lauren and their families. This is the first time we have organized a trip that involved our husbands and kids. I’m so glad to report that it went swimmingly. (I don’t understand what “swimmingly” means, but I hear it’s a good thing.)
We took the kids to the train museum and the candy store. The rest of the weekend revolved around food. And wine. And nail polish. Jansen and Jack played with trains, dinosaurs (that were all named Lauren or Michael), games, and their imaginations. They had races. They pretended to be Spiderman
and trapped us in webs. They had so much fun being best friends. We all had a great time being best friends too.
Saturday night, my dad offered to watch the kids while the 6 of us went to dinner. (Grandpa of the year?) The boys had soooo much fun playing with Poots. I was a bit concerned that Jansen wasn’t going to want to share his Poots with Jack, but he did just fine.
I didn’t take many pictures because I’m stupid
and always forget. Thankfully Molly did. So I have a few to share, but Molly isn’t in a single one. These look a little blurry to me. I think maybe it is because they were texted to me and then I emailed them to myself. I’m not sure. You get the point though. They are cute!

Picture 5 is really cool!
I can’t even handle the one of Jack and Jansen standing there together. Seriously. I had to click away. Too adorable.
Glad to see Molly made it into the couch picture. Looks like we may be staying on the island for MG again this year. If we do, y’all are welcome out to the west end for a rugged beach dinner. Full disclosure: we won’t have any trains at our rental. Sorry, Jansen.
You have a great dad! The pictures are super cute!
Those boys are precious! Glad y’all had fun! You guys are super troopers for coming straight to our house afterward
