This weekend we are going to Schlitterbahn with some friends. If you don’t know what that is, Google it. You’re missing out big time. It’s the largest waterpark in the nation, maybe even the world. I’m super pumped about it. We’re leaving Jansen with Emmie and Bop for the weekend, he’s super pumped about that too.
2.
I hope to read some Harry Potter during our drive. Though if it’s too dark in the car, I might do some meal planning. We are now into August and I haven’t made August’s meal plan yet. Yeah that’s not good.
3.
Where do I find toddler sized backpacks? We were at ToysRUs the other day, looking for a train set, and decided to look at their backpacks. They were gigantic. Jansen starts “school” at the end of the month and I want him to have a backpack. Any advice?
4.
Also, where do you buy toddler bed sheets? That is a thing, right? We’re going to be getting Jansen a toddler bed eventually and I’d like to start looking for bedding.

The more I hear about Ryan Lochte, the more I don’t like him. That makes me sad. Be a good role model, care about learning, and get rid of the bling. Ugh.

Yeah, I had heard his name and seen his picture, and then I saw an interview with him where they were in a closet that was the size of my bedroom and he was showing the reporter all his watches and grills (grills? Does he know he’s not a rapper?) and shoes. It was kind of ridiculous.
Plus if you’re going to talk as much smack as he has, you should really actually win some gold medals. Just saying.
Toddler beds use crib mattresses, so you use crib sheets. Have a great weekend!
Old Navy normally has some really adorable tiny backpacks!
Actually, Wisconsin has the largest outdoor waterpark in the nation and largest indoor waterpark in the nation – Wisconsin Dells, WI – Waterpark Capital of the World.

Have fun on your trip, hope you enjoy some good wave pool action.
I got Topher’s toddler bedding set from Amazon. He still doesn’t like to be covered so the sheet and comfortor were kind of a waste of money, though – he always kicks his way out of them and just wraps himself up in his Blankie. We used Amazon for his backpack too
I found Amelia’s backpack at Walgreens. It was in the toy aisle filled with some toys, Tinker Bell. So you could try in toy aisles in stores too? And toddler beds do take crib sheets. I would also recommend not a comforter, as Amelia only has liked the smaller blankets and quilts she already had.
Have a happy and fun weekend!
Skip Hop makes adorable preschool backpacks in all sorts of animals. Too Too Cute. My 13 month old has the Monkey.

Stephen Joseph has adorable quilted backpacks for toddlers! I just ordered this one for my little boy who is about a week older than Jansen, its just a tad bit too big imo but it’s still a small backpack and I LOVE it! http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002MAF5F6/ref=oh_details_o03_s00_i00
Pottery Barn Kids has super cute ones – I got a rocket one for Liam for his birthday. Buybuybaby.com has great ones too that are cheaper.
And do y’all have a convertible crib? I hear it’s better to go ahead and skip the toddler bed (assuming you don’t have a convertible crib) and just buy a twin or full size mattress for toddlers because it’s one less thing to buy later. It seems like a toddler bed lasts about a year, which may just not be worth it.
I second the Stephen Joseph suggestion. Elijah has the construction-themed one, and we have loved it. I didn’t like their lunchboxes, though. Tip: get one that can go in the washing machine!!! His milk could leak, and if you just have a lunchbox that is supposed to be cleaned with a damp washcloth, then you’re going to end up trashing the lunchbox for a washable one. I speak from experience. Nasty sour milk. Gag.
