My ideas for Jansen’s birthday party are coming together and I’m pretty excited about it. But I”m an idiot and didn’t order invitations until Tuesday. Jansen’s birthday is September 2 and his party is September 1. Well done Mom.

I’m tired of being sick. I know it has only been a few days, but it’s really annoying. I’ve been super snotty and now there is a constant tickle in my throat that makes me want to cough all the time.

Men’s BMX? That stuff is crazy! How in the world do these guys not crash into each other nonstop??? How fast are they riding?

Remember that game on Nintendo where you could build your own course and then ride your motorcycle on it? What was that called? That was awesome. Those are the kinds of video games I like, not the complicated ones they have now.

Ginny Weasley and Kerri Walsh-Jennings. Does anyone else see the similarities or is it just me? We were watching HP & the Half Blood Prince the other night and I kept seeing it! I think it’s their head shape, mostly their chin. Or maybe I’m crazy. Whatever.

We get our car back on Saturday. It turned out that we were missing a belt. (Huh?!) They replaced it and everything seems to be okay. Stephen and his dad are taking to mini roadtrip on Saturday to pick it up. I am thankful that it was a pretty easy and relatively inexpensive fix, and I’m also thankful that I don’t have to go get the car!! Whoo hoo!

If it makes you feel better I forgot to send invites to my son’s party this year. We have family only parties and I knew that most of them knew the details but there were one or two people calling about the invites and I felt so bad!
I think the name of that video game is Excitebike. It was one of mine and my brother’s favorite game as kids.
