Today I’m supposed to tell you about Universal Studios Islands of Adventure (where the Wizarding World of Harry Potter is located) but I don’t have much time to devote to the post at the moment, so I’m going to post that on Monday.

Have yo
u read about Lauren‘s sweet puppy, Leia? You should head over to her blog and read about the accident she was in. I’ll have you know that this now-three-legged-pup is already trying to run around. She’s a rockstar!

Jansen didn’t cry AT ALL when I dropped them off at school yesterday morning. Can you believe it?? I was in shock. He seemed fine when I said, “Okay Jansen. Let’s get your backpack and go to school.” He just said, “Okay!” I thought that maybe he didn’t understand me. But then we arrived at school and he didn’t fuss. He grabbed my hand and took me to the back of the room so we could go look at the “mouse” (they have a few gerbils in that room). We checked out the mouse and then I said, “Okay, mommy is going bye bye. Can I Have a hug and kiss.” He gave me a hug and kiss and said, “bye bye.” That was it! Unbelievable.
I texted Stephen to tell him that Jansen didn’t cry. His response was, “Cool! Are you crying?” Ha. No, I didn’t cry. I’m glad he was happy! That’s what every mom wants, right?? You want your kid to love school!

I just got home from vacation and I’m already so worn out. I’m not telling you this because I want sympathy, that’s just crazy. I just got back from freaking Disney World, I don’t need sympathy. I’m just tired. Jansen hasn’t been sleeping well again and work is busy. My weekends are SO SO BUSY. I’m ready for blank days on my calendar.

Jansen had his 2 year check up on Tuesday. He is 30.5 pounds and 35 inches. That puts his in the 90th percentile for height and 75th for weight. Tall and skinny! He did really great until the shots. OH MY. Then he cried hysterically FOR AN HOUR! He kept pointing to his thigh and saying, “No! No! No!” I felt so bad for him.

We keep a sheet of stickers by Jansen’s changing table in his room. Sometimes he is kind of spastic when we change him, so to distract him we let him look at the stickers and pick one if he wants. Usually he just likes to look at them and point out the characters on the page. On Monday he chose an Elmo sticker and put it on his head. He went crazy any time I tried to take it off of him, so it stayed on until YESTERDAY morning. I took it off since it was picture day at school and that’s just not going to happen. You can kind of see it in this picture…

Good idea for the sticker sheet. I remember when Noah went crazy anytime we changed him. Not a fun phase and glad that one is over. He is so cute, Chelsea!! Glad he didn’t cry yesterday. Awesome.
When I scrolled past this picture it looked like he had a huge gash in his head! Glad it was just Elmo.
That is SO random about the elmo sticker, but so good about him at school! Kids are just SO unpredictable. Can’t wait to read about your Hogwarts adventures. I miss it there sooooo much! BUTTERBEER!
