Sometimes I wonder how we functioned before Pinterest. Where did we find new recipes? Magazines! Without reviews or real, actual photos. Gross. How did we know what an ideal playroom looked like? Trial and error. How did we learn cleaning tips? Our mothers. Life just didn’t quite work as efficiently.
I go in phases with Pinterest. Sometimes I am ALL IN and want to pin all of the things. Sometimes I just stick to the humor section for a laugh. I’m currently in the love and adoration phase. Maybe next week I’ll do a post about all of the Pinteresting things I’ve done lately.

Last night I had this conversation.
Me: Jansen, would you like a nap while I’m cooking dinner?
Jansen: Oh! Okay! I waaaant…..
Me: How about a piece of cheese?
Jansen: No. I want a sawwich and a fickle pickle.
First of all, that is QUITE a snack! Second, I love how obsessed he is with pickles. He has a book called Mrs. Fickle’s Pickles and he makes me read it every night.

Has anyone ever marinated their chicken in pickle juice? I hear that ChickFilA does it and that’s how they have such a unique flavor. My friend also told me they use almond powder instead of flour. Interesting. I’d like to try it. And with all of Mrs. Fickles pickles we’re eating, we have plenty of pickle juice in our fridge.

How do you feel about Suit and Tie? The first time I heard it, I wasn’t a fan. Now I like it but I absolutely think that Jay Z’s part is completely unnecessary. I cannot be the only one who thinks that. Anyways, I’m looking forward to see what else Justin Timberlake has on the way.

I have big plans for my weekend. I am going
to clean out our pantry and make in functional. It’s super deep so I always lose things. I am also going to do 72 loads of laundry. I’d like to read a little bit of Harry Potter. And if there is time, I’d like to begin cleaning out my closet. We’ll see how much of that I accomplish. I also need to do some prep for the nerd baby shower next week. Yikes. Maybe I need a 4 day weekend.

I bought some curtains for our dining room and they stink. Like awful. I have them in the washing machine right now but this is the second time I have run the machine. They still smelled funny after the first round. Any tips? I added some vinegar to the machine
because I have heard that helps with smells, but it didn’t really do much. I don’t know what to do. It’s almost like they used some nasty dye or rank chemicals. It’s really making me mad.

That’s all I have for you today. Wish me luck on my super productive weekend. And good luck to you on whatever it is you’re doing!

1. I think that ALL THE TIME. Seriously, how did I know what to put on my monthly menu without looking at my “YUM” board for ideas/reminders?
5. Is it weird that that sounds like an awesome weekend? I love productivity!!!
If Chick Fil A uses almond flour instead of normal…they must also use something that has normal flour…the last I checked their breaded chicken is _not_ gluten free. Which it would be if it was merely almond flour. I just checked their gf menu and indeed, breaded chicken there has gluten. However, Chick Fil A does have a really good menu for gf…for a fast food place.
