Our washing machine broke a while back. An appliance breaking is all sorts of awful. Not only do you forget how to function (HOW DID PEOPLE HAVE CLEAN CLOTHES BEFORE WASHING MACHINES??? DID THEY JUST THROW THEM AWAY AFTER EVER USE???), but you also have to figure out your next step. DO you fix it? Buy a new one? Craiglist? Get a new dryer too? Should we just take our laundry to my parents’ house forever? Thankfully Stephen took some things apart and figured out there was a couple bad contacts. (Aren’t men handy?? He’s so great!) SO he was able to replace a couple parts and now it works just fine.

As soon as we (he) got it working, I started a load of laundry and came in to vacuum the living room. Ten seconds into it, we smelled burning. He took the vacuum apart (again… men are awesome) and saw a mark on the belt, like maybe it got stuck. It finished the job without blowing up or breaking, so hopefully it was a fluke.

My brother and SIL are having their baby today!!!!!!!!!! I’m going to meet her tomorrow. I CAN’T WAIT!! It’s been a while since I’ve held a tiny baby, I am SO looking forward to it!

Okay so this is weird, but I always thought that cokes made my ear/throat pains worse. When I thought my pain was from an infected tonsil, this made a ton of sense to me. Now that it’s the glossophryngeal neuralgia, it doesn’t make much sense. I have 1-4 cokes a week… not a ton, but enough to be painful if it is a source. So in my research on Friday night, I saw that someone else thought cokes were a trigger. They mentioned something about acid. So this weekend I didn’t drink any coke and I didn’t have my morning coffee. NO PAIN. Now I’m not crazy enough to think that it’ll be better forever if I just cut those out of my life. But it’s interesting to ponder. Why would coffee and coke trigger it? Will tea? Is it the caffeine or the acid? Why would that effect a neuralgia? ANYONE??

We had photos taken on Saturday. Jansen started off super crabby, which is SO weird because he’s almost never crabby. We had to wake him up from his nap in order to get there on time, so I think that started us off on the wrong foot. BUT I think we got some good shots and I cannot purchasing clomid wait to get them!! Of course I will share them with you. Based on the teaser photo, they are going to be adorable!!

Jansen found a hat at H&M that has the Cars characters on it. He is IN LOVE with it. We bought it for him and now he looks like a little white trash toddler… especially when he’s only wearing a diaper.

I have to restart the spin cycle on my machine so it will drain and spin. My mama told my sister to use duct tape on the agitator in her washing machine and it works again!

Yay for babies! My niece is having her baby today, too. It’s a good day for a birthday.

Hope you figure out the pain factor. Can’t wait to see the photos. And is it a CAT Jansen loves or a CAP? I’m confused. :)

P.S. I’m not sure if you’ve visited my blog, but there’s a giveaway for a $50 gift card to Shabby Apple going on. You would look fab in some of their clothing!

HAHA! White trash toddler, I kind of love this. I would go crazy without a working washer, thank goodness Stephen is so handy :)
